Robert M. Aldrich represents investment banks, trading desks, commercial banks, hedge funds and other financial institutions in connection with purchases and sales of distressed assets, secured and unsecured syndicated bank debt, mezzanine loans, insolvency claims, and debt and equity securities.
Mr. Aldrich has many years of experience in the distressed debt market. During that time, he has represented the most active and visible international investment bank in the market in connection with thousands of trades. In addition to drafting and negotiating trade documentation and coordinating with counter-parties, agents and other third parties, he regularly interacted with the bank's trading desk, general counsel and middle office staff in establishing standard market protocols for trading some of the most-actively-traded credits in the market.
He also advises and represents many hedge funds and other "buy-side" clients in connection with sophisticated distressed debt transactions including purchases and sales of syndicated bank debt, mezzanine loans, insolvency claims, debt and equity securities and other high yield investments.
Mr. Aldrich is currently serving as a member of the Loan Syndications and Trading Association's Trade Practices and Forms Committee and Primary Market Committee.
